While visiting the exhibit hall at the SBL meeting, I learned some very exciting news about Olive Tree‘s BibleReader for iPhone. I used BibleReader on PalmOS for several years before the iPhone’s advent, and I hoped that Olive Tree would offer some sort of “crossgrade” pricing so that I could get the iPhone version of the same modules at a “loyal customer” discount.

As it turns out, if you’ve previously purchased a BibleReader module on another platform, Olive Tree stores that information in your user account. The iPhone BibleReader client can read your Olive Tree account (if you provide the user name and password, of course) and will download at no additional charge the iPhone versions of the texts you’ve previously purchased, if versions of those texts exist for the iPhone.

Kudos and a bazillion thanks to Olive Tree for this incredibly loyalty to their customers.
